Even if you are soaring right now in your business, save the quotes below for a rainy day.

Affiliate marketing has made businesses millions and ordinary people millionaires. – Bo Bennet
Bo Bennet is an entrepreneur who has branched out in several fields. He is a motivational speaker and amateur comedian, and he has devoted his life to helping other people. He is a graduate of Marketing and he has a PhD in social psychology.
What he said above is true. It is true that many businesses have made millions of dollars by simply focusing on the affiliate marketing business model. Most of these companies are nothing more than blogs that recommend top products.
A good example of this is Tech Radar, a website that is focused on electronics. What they did is to provide their opinions on phones and other electronic devices. And then they recommend to the reader to buy the item from Amazon, of which they are an affiliate.
Ordinary people who have stared YouTube channels, and blogs have also earned millions from their sites. All they did was to create content for their websites and YouTube channels, and then direct their traffic to their affiliate links.
You see, affiliate marketing is not a scam, but it is not going to work if you are not passionate enough, which takes me to the second quote.
Without passion, you don’t have energy; without energy, you have nothing. Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion. – Donald Trump
We all know who Donald Trump is, so let us not even bother talking about his background or achievement. A lot of people may think he is a lousy president but, let me tell you, he has some important things to say about business 🙂
What Trump said above related perfectly to affiliate marketing. If you are in affiliate marketing because you are only after the money, you are not going to succeed.
Why?

Because if your efforts are not showing positive financial results, you will lose your motivation, and you will feel that you just wasted your time. This is the very reason why many people do not succeed in affiliate marketing. They see an affiliate product and think dollars.
This is wrong.
If you want to succeed in affiliate marketing, you have to produce content for something that you are passionate about. You must choose a niche that you really want to talk about, even if you are not paid.
Why?
Because of passion. If your affiliate marketing efforts are not paying off, you will still continue working on your content because you love teaching and you love sharing your experiences. Over time, you will be able to grow your traffic and monetize your content.
Patience, persistence, and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. – Napoleon Hill
Who is Napoleon Hill?
Napoleon was a self-help author. He was born in 1883 and made a name in the self-help industry in 1937. The title of his most famous book is Think and Grow Rich. This book is one of the ten best-selling books of all time.
What does he mean by his statement?
You do not need to be a genius to be successful. What you need are three things:
- Patience – do not give up if your first foray in affiliate marketing failed. You made mistakes and you have to acknowledge these mistakes. Affiliate marketing takes time—sometimes, up to two years to even make your first sale. You are moulding yourself into an expert, something that takes time!
Although it is true that some people make it big in less than one year, you need to understand that not all people work in the same niches, and not all people have the same background and effectiveness when it comes to content creation.
- Persistence – you need to keep on learning and doing what you can to achieve your goals. In the modern world, persistence is also called grit. You must have that undying feeling of not giving up. You have to make a stand for your business—you need to keep on exploring many other things that will help you succeed.
For example, if you made an ad that did not yield any sale, you have to be persistent enough to figure out what was wrong with your ad. Correct your mistakes and run more ads until you get it right.
- Perspiration – in the early part of this article, I mentioned that success is 95% hard work. You need to sweat it out. Many affiliate marketers are those who do not have a huge business capital. You need to create content on your own, and then publish them on a consistent basis. If you are only looking for quick and easy money, this isn’t the business for you!
Napoleon is correct in saying this. What I want to point out here is that many affiliate marketers show lots of money and cars and nice houses—but it took them at least seven years to become masters of it.
In advertising, not to be different is virtual suicide. – Thornton Wilder
I know that there are many software programs out there that help you look for ads on Facebook. These software programs allow you to copy these ads.
This is bad.
Advertising is a complicated thing. Just because one ad worked does not mean that it will work for you.
Just because you and another seller are promoting the same products does not mean that you should copy his or her ads.
You have to create your own ads that fit your brand—ads that resonate with your audience. You can take inspiration but don’t just copy-paste.
The more informative your advertising, the more persuasive it will be. – David Ogilvy
The last in my favorite affiliate marketing quotes is still related to advertising. Many affiliate marketers fail to realize that it takes a lot of work to make an effective advertisement.
And it all boils down to your message. In advertising, you must meet these three conditions:
- Problem – you must be able to reach the right market and show them what the problem is.
- Solution – your ad must present a solution and the result of the solution you are offering. This should show the audience how your product can make their lives easier.
- Call to action – the last thing your ad must have is to encourage the viewer to contact you or do something, like signing up for your email subscription, or directing them to your product page.
Information is dime-a-dozen. We are too saturated with it. And this is why you have to be picky with what kind of message you put in your ads. My suggestion is that you listen to affiliate marketing podcasts so you can learn how to succeed.

May the Quotes be With You!
Affiliate marketing is a highly saturated business. You need to be prepared to handle failure. You have to ready yourself how to analyze what caused the failure. More importantly, you must have the passion to fix this failure.
Affiliate marketing only works if you make it your work to succeed! If you have the money, you will have to invest to pay for affordable content writers, video creators, social media managers, and more.
But if you are alone, you will have to do all of these things—things that you have never done before. Be patient. Have a plan, learn as you go along the way, and you will succeed if you are persistent enough.
